Lantern Jordan

| January 25th, 2009

Yesterday, I went to a local bookstore and bought the Batman: Private Casefiles trade, and while I was there surrounded by comic books, I felt this energy and enthusiasm to draw again. I guess seeing all that art made me want to make art, and I think that really helped boosting my motivation in drawing again. Today, after sleeping, I woke up feeling good and I just wanted to draw. I mean, just do it and draw. So I made Green Lantern.

Some things I learned today:

  • Don’t be too lazy to switch pens.
  • It’s not bad to reference a pose, reference is good. Any reference.
  • Don’t rush things.

As usual, I welcome your criticism with open arms.

Ultimate Hulk

| January 18th, 2009

Hm, it’s been quite some time since the last time I did something. I actually had a rough time starting up and warming up to drawing again. But once you get the hang of it, you won’t stop. It’s like Pringles. Also, this one here’s Ultimate Hulk, and I apologize for the lack of a dynamic pose. I think the only difference between the 616 and Ultimate versions of Hulk is the hair style, but sometimes they can be rendered almost in the same way. I don’t see the big deal. I was looking at Leinil Yu’s art while I was doing this one. I think I’m a sponge.
